I am a freelance author and journalist currently writing across a wide range of national newspapers and magazines. My work has appeared in the Guardian, the Daily Mail, the Daily Mirror, the Sun, the Daily Telegraph, the Daily Express, the Independent, the News of the World, the Sunday Times, Esquire, Q, Cosmopolitan, Company, Elle, and many other newspapers and magazines.
I have previously been Assistant Editor of the Sun's men's magazine MF, and Contributing Editor of the Sun's Fabulous Magazine.
I have held senior editorial positions on several publications, including the Daily Telegraph, the Sun's MF and Fabulous magazines, the News of the World Jam magazine, the Daily Express, the Daily Mail, Closer, She and New Woman magazines. In 2010 I was brought in by the News of the World to produce a 56 page Michael Jackson tribute - it was subsequently shortlisted for the 2010 British Press Awards.
In 2011 I launched the News of the World's first men's magazine.
My latest novel, Dead End Close, is published on the Kindle Store by The Odyssey Press.
My first novel, Martin Harbottle's Appreciation of Time, was published in January 2014 by Oneworld books.
I am also the author of several non-fiction books, including The Real Football Factories - shocking true stories from the world's hardest football fans, published by John Blake Publishing in March 2008. In April 2012, How To Go Wild, an adventure book for boys, was published by Scholastic Books. I have also acted as a ghost writer for celebrity authors.
I have supplied copy for several cookbooks, including The Student Cookbook, Mama's Italian Cookbook and the Retro Cocktail Bible (all published by Parragon Books).
In 2005 I wrote and helped edit the official Live 8 programme, on sale at every one of the concerts around the world.
I have also supplied editorial copy for the official programmes of all the major summer music festivals, including T in the Park, the Reading & Leeds Festivals and the Isle of Wight Festival.
I have appeared on TV in an episode of Panorama and was interviewed on the Radio 4 programme You and Yours, as well as the documentary "Defining the Decade", with Ed Stourton. I have also featured on Radio Oxford, Radio Berkshire and Radio Wiltshire.
Prior to going freelance in 2001, I was staff Feature Writer and Rock & Pop Editor of the Daily and Sunday Express.
